jackalope? are you serious? does anyone really believe on that? I have to confess I am not from the US, and I also thought people not believing in evolution was a joke. However I am also a biology graduate student, and I have seen Maras where I am from, how can you even make that mistake ? She should be thrown out of her graduate program, is anyone seriously considering giving her a doctoral degree?

Yeah I know, the regular kind of cavies are guinea pigs (meerschweinchen!) which are wicked cute and totally obvious. The Patagonian cavy is also called a mara (who’s heard of THAT?) or, of course, Dolichotis patagonum.
